Financial Freedom Leads To Legacy

In this episode, the guys start the conversation on what it looks like for a Legacy Dad to have financial freedom. "Leaving a legacy" means a lot, and it is important for men and fathers in all stages of life to ensure they are setting not only themselves, but also their families - and future generations - with financial blessings rather than burdens. The guys talk through assessing your current situation, taking responsibility for where you're at currently, being a good steward, giving to God what belongs to God, and determining what the financial future should look like as God's financially responsible man.

Future episodes on this topic are up to the audience, so listen in and let Dave and Dante know where they can take this wide-ranging topic!

"Oh God Why Can't I Stop?" with Jason Ritchie

In this episode, we had the pleasure to sit down with Jason Ritchie, author of Oh God, Why Can't I Stop?

Are you sick and tired of failing? It’s frustrating to fail against the sin of this world. It’s even worse failing against temptation, fear, and faithlessness as a believer in Christ.

You are not alone.

Jason Ritchie never felt so “not right” with God as during his biggest failure. He cried out in distress, “Oh God, why can’t I stop failing? I can’t seem to stop. Though I pray, though I study, though I return to You, I still sin, and I don’t want to.”

In the aftermath, he wondered: “Will You still keep me? Will You still love me? Will You still use me?”

What does God say to these questions?

Oh God, Why Can’t I Stop? examines God’s fundamental response to failure through the story of Peter’s denial of Christ. It explores the Apostle Paul’s lament in Romans 7:19: “For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.”

Thriving In Babylon

What do you do when it seems like the world around you is spiraling out of control, losing any sense of morality, and drifting away from the way which God prescribed us to live? Well, you learn ways to thrive! In this episode, the guys discuss the principle of thriving in Babylon. Whether it is societal influences or individual choices that we are trying to work through, the answer is simple: have hope, use wisdom, and above all, trust God!

A good resource for this (which we didn't mention in the podcast) is a book called "Thriving In Babylon" by Larry Osborne. If you have the bible app, you can also download and complete a 7-day from Larry Osborne as well.

Love and Marriage...and In-Laws

One of our listeners sent us a message about some challenges he is facing with his relationship with his in-laws. The guys dive into the topic under the premise of first going to God, and second, realizing the importance of setting up healthy boundaries. When it has to do with protecting the marriage relationship, sometimes we need to take more direct action. Other times, we need to have some open and honest conversations and pray for the Holy Spirit to move in the hearts of those in our lives. Listen in as Dave and Dante discuss this topic...and let us know if there's more that we could cover!
